Font allowed 13 runs on 18 hits in 10⅓ innings, including five home runs allowed, with one walks and seven strikeouts.
In 2017 Font won the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year honors with Triple-A Oklahoma City, with a 3.42 ERA in 25 starts and 178 strikeouts in 134⅓ innings.
Buehler, who wore number 64 last September and during spring training this year, has switched to number 21.
With the move the Dodgers have 39 players on their 40-man roster.
