Two games were cancelled due to weather and poor conditions. Of the remainder, only Ogden came home a winner.

Player of the day

Dean Kremer showed his All-Star form in a season-high seven inning performance. He struck out 11 and had no walks. Kremer gave up three runs and five hits.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers and Nashville Sounds (Athletics) game was postponed due to unplayable conditions. A doubleheader has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 27th to make up for this postponement.

Double-A Tulsa

Tulsa is off on their All-Star break.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes were shutout 3-0 in their opening game at Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres). Dean Kremer pitched well as noted above but he was bested a bit by Storm starter Chris Paddack.

Paddack missed all of 2017 as he was recovering from Tommy John surgery but he has come back with a bang in 2018. On Tuesday, he started and pitched four innings, he gave up one hit and struck out nine. Paddack’s last start before Tuesday night was also against the Quakes on June 12th, in that game, Paddack also struck out nine but this time in five innings.

Three pitches followed Paddack and they combined to pitch five scoreless innings and give up four hits and six strikeouts.

There was not much of an offense as the Quakes struck out fifteen times on Saturday.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons lost 4-1 to the Dayton Dragons (Reds). The Loons offense was stymied as they struck out 14 times against one walk.

Edwin Uceta struck out eight in four innings pitch in his start, he gave up three runs and five hits.

Rookie - Pioneer

The Raptors beat Grand Junction Rockies 5-3 as the Raptors scored four runs in the third inning that gave them a 5-1 lead. They were able to hang on as the Rockies posted single runs in the eighth and ninth innings.

Mark Washington followed a solid performance from Jose Chacin. Chacin pitched 4⅓ innings and gave up a run and six hits. Washington pitches 2⅔ innings and allows just a two hits and he has one strikeout.

Chris Roller had the big blow in the four-run inning. Roller hit a three-run homer that provided the winning margin.

Rookie - Arizona League

AZL Dodgers Robinson went down to defeat by a 7-1 score to the AZL PadresOne. The Dodgers struck out 16 times, PadresOne starter Omar Cruz struck out ten in his four innings of work.

The Dodgers got three singles and four walks, they went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position.


Double-A: Tulsa released outfielder Tyler Colvin and sent infielder Wes Darvill on a rehab assignment to AZL Dodgers.
