Outfielder James Outman from Sacramento State is the Dodgers’ seventh-round pick, No. 224 overall in the 2018 MLB Draft.
At 6-foot-2, Outman throws right but bats from the left side and hit .253/.363/.489 this season for the Hornets. Over the past two seasons, Outman has hit 22 homers, 31 doubles and six triples.

The 21-year-old was named the Summer Collegiate Player of the Year by Perfect Game in 2017 and nearly won the triple crown in the Cal Ripken League.
Outman played for the Bethesda Big Train and was named the Cal Ripken League MVP after hitting .341 with nine home runs, 36 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 37 regular season games.
He was not ranked in the top 200 by our David Hood.
