The Dodgers on Saturday activated relievers Dylan Floro and Pat Venditte, placing Kenta Maeda on the paternity list and Yimi Garcia on the disabled list.

Floro, acquired from the Reds Wednesday, made 25 relief appearances with Cincinnati this season, going 3-2 with a 2.72 ERA while striking out 27 batters against 12 walks. The right-hander spent time in the Dodgers organization after he was claimed off waivers from the Cubs last August. He was 0-1 with a 5.56 ERA in eight appearances for Triple-A Oklahoma City before electing free agency.

The Dodgers don’t expect Maeda to miss any time after he and his wife welcomed their second child Friday morning.

Garcia has been experiencing a sore elbow and goes to the DL with what isn’t listed as right forearm inflammation. The right-hander has allowed 25 hits and 15 runs (11 earned) over 19 innings, striking out 16 with only three walks.

The move is retroactive to July 4.

This is the fifth different time the Dodgers have brought Venditte onto the big league roster. The switch-pitcher has made five appearances for the Dodgers this year, giving up four runs and eight hits over four and one-third innings.
