The Dodgers on Friday activated reliever Daniel Hudson from the disabled list, while sending reliever Erik Goeddel back to the 10-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.

Hudson missed the last 10 days with forearm tightness after making only one appearance this month, going two scoreless inning on August 3. The right-hander has appeared in 38 games, trailing only Scott Alexander (55) and Kenley Jansen (51).

Hudson has allowed 23 runs (19 earned) in 43 23 innings this season, striking out 40 while walking 18.

It will be the second trip to the disabled list for Goeddel this month after missing nine games with right lat inflammation. The right-hander has a 3.38 ERA in 26 games, allowing 11 runs in 29 13 innings.

Goeddel made one appearance in between his stints on the disabled list, tossing 1 13 scoreless innings during Wednesday’s 12-inning win over the Giants.

Jansen Update

Jansen spoke to reporters prior to Friday night’s game in Seattle. “I’m miserable right now,” the 30-year-old said to Andy McCullough of the LA Times. “I need to be out there.”

The big man says he feels great and is hopeful to be back Monday. Jansen threw to hitters again Friday afternoon and will be meeting with his Cardiologist Monday morning.

Other roster notes

As expected, Yasiel Puig is appealing his two-game suspension handed down by the league Thursday. Puig is not in the lineup but is on the lineup card and will be available off the bench.
