It will be the second trip to the disabled list for Goeddel this month after missing nine games with right lat inflammation. The right-hander has a 3.38 ERA in 26 games, allowing 11 runs in 29 1⁄3 innings.
Goeddel made one appearance in between his stints on the disabled list, tossing 1 1⁄3 scoreless innings during Wednesday’s 12-inning win over the Giants.
Jansen spoke to reporters prior to Friday night’s game in Seattle. “I’m miserable right now,” the 30-year-old said to Andy McCullough of the LA Times. “I need to be out there.”
The big man says he feels great and is hopeful to be back Monday. Jansen threw to hitters again Friday afternoon and will be meeting with his Cardiologist Monday morning.
