MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates at Los Angeles Dodgers Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

This week on the podcast we talk through the potential playoff scenarios for the Dodgers, and take a stab at predicting a 25-man roster for both the NLDS and — if needed — the Wild Card Game.

Before we got to the postseason rosterbation, we recapped the previous week and talked about the possibilities of chaotic tiebreakers for either the division or wild card. We also talked about Jaime Jarrin getting honored and extending his contract, and discussed the new “Legends of Dodger baseball” honor and what that entails.

For the playoff rosters, the position players are pretty much set as are the bulk of the starting rotation and bullpen. So the deep dive is which relievers and/or bench players fill those precious few final slots, and whether the allure of Julio Urias and his return is enough to earn him a spot in October.
