The Dodgers in the last week were busy, trading for a pair of players and calling up several players with rosters expanding in September, all while passing the Diamondbacks in the National League West.

This week on the podcast we look at the roles for newcomers Ryan Madson and David Freese, plus how Alex Verdugo might carve himself a bigger role than the rest of his September call-up cohorts. With a quartet of players up from Triple-A, it made Oklahoma City’s remarkable weekend run through elimination games even that more remarkable.

Also, we talk about the red-hot Justin Turner, the back-to-back Matt Kemp stunners, and what lies ahead in the three-team divisional race.
