The Astros became the first team this postseason to clinch the Divisional Series at home in 2019. The 6-1 win over the Rays sets up the anticipated series between the Astros and Yankees for the American League pennant.

The American League Championship Series will begin on Saturday at Houston.

The National League Championship Series begins today with the St. Louis Cardinals hosting the Washington Nationals this afternoon. The Nationals will be trying for their first National League pennant while the Cardinals will be looking to return to their first World Series since 2013.

The Cardinals won five of their seven regular season games against the Nationals when they took three of four in Washington and then won two of three at home.

Rays at Astros - Game 5 (Astros win 3-2)

Well the Astros finally had their game where their strong starting pitching was supported by their excellent offense. They jumped out to a four-run lead in the first inning and that was more than enough for Gerrit Cole.

Cole pitched eight innings and allowed one run and two hits while striking out ten.

The Astros would add two more runs in the eighth inning on home runs from Michael Brantley and José Altuve making the final score 6-1.

Regardless if streaks include postseason games, this is pretty impressive.

José Altuve helped put the game away in the eighth inning.

You are not the only one who did not remember this.
