After the Rays, Cardinals and Nationals won to extend their series, the Yankees went on to sweep the Twins and advance to the American League Championship Series.
Those wins meant there is baseball today and tomorrow. The Rays will try to extend their series to Thursday with a win. Then on Wednesday, elimination games for the NLDS will be played.
Astros at Rays - Game 3 (Astros lead 2-1)
It isn’t quite a three-headed monster but the Astros getting ZacK Greinke at the trade deadline was supposed to make them that much more unbeatable. It may still but on Monday, Greinke gave up six runs in 3⅔ innings as the Rays were able to defeat the Astros 10-3.

Later today, the Astros and Justin Verlander on three-days rest will try to defeat the Rays and prepare for their showdown against the Yankees.
Braves at Cardinals - Game 4 (Series tied 2-2)
The Cardinals had taken an early lead but then the Braves came back. But this series has featured late inning comebacks and the Cardinals did it again.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, trailing by a run, Paul Goldschmidt doubled with one out. After Marcell Ozuna struck out, Yadier Molina singled to score Goldschmidt and make it 4-4.
The game went to extra-innings and in the bottom of the tenth, Molina came up with the winning run on third with one out.

This is something I had not realized.
The Braves’ last postseason series win was the 2001 NLDS vs Astros.

Since 2001's LCS round began, 26 teams have won at least 1 playoff series (incl Wild Card gms).
The Cardinals, who the Braves will again try to eliminate, have won 15 playoff series in that span -- most in MLB
The Cardinals and Braves will play on Wednesday with the winner advancing to the National League Championship Series.
Dodgers at Nationals - Game 4 (Series tied 2-2)
The Nationals tied the series 2-2 with a 6-1 win over the Dodgers. You can read the TBLA recap here. They will play Game 5 tomorrow at Dodger Stadium.
Yankees at Twins - Game 3 (Yankees advance 3-0)
The Yankees completed their sweep with a 5-1 win over the Twins on Monday. This was the Twins 16th consecutive loss in the postseason.
The Twins have now lost 16 straight postseason games, extending the longest such streak in MLB history.

That’s tied for the longest postseason losing streak among all MLB/NHL/NBA/NFL teams, with the 1975-79 Chicago Blackhawks, who lost 16 straight.
Most of these losses came courtesy of the Yankees who have won five American League Divisional Series against the Twins.
The @Yankees are now 5-0 in #ALDS appearances vs. the Twins.
