We recorded this week’s podcast on Monday morning, planning to focus solely on the sobering news of Clayton Kershaw ‘s shoulder problems this spring.
But upon waking up on Monday the club’s meeting with Bryce Harper was at the forefront, so instead we start with the free agent outfielder, certain that all our discussion would soon be moot if and when Harper decided to sign before we posted the podcast.
Given the news this week about Clayton Kershaw's shoulder (more details https://t.co/varAV5OeUq & https://t.co/cbJVXaavg5), a poll: When do you think Kershaw will make his first regular season start in 2019?
— Eric Stephen (@ericstephen) February 24, 2019
On Kershaw, an impromptu Twitter poll asked, essentially, if Kershaw would be ready to make his opening day start. No was the leader there, and on the podcast we were split on whether Kershaw would make that March 28 start. But this was before news on Monday afternoon that Kershaw would be shut down yet again after he “didn’t feel great” following his morning throwing.
