Roster moves

And then there were 45. There was a lot of movement going on after today’s 3-1 win against the Rockies (here’s the box score).

The Dodgers have optioned left-handed pitcher Donnie Hart after claiming him off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles. Additionally, they have optioned pitchers Yadier Alvarez and Josh Sborz along with infielder Matt Beaty and catcher Rocky Gale.

After experiencing throwing issues during workouts, shortstop Gavin Lux has been reassigned to minor league camp. Other infielders headed that way are shortstop Omar Estevez and second baseman Jake Peter. Right-handed pitcher Mitchell White and outfielders DJ Peters and Cameron Perkins have also been reassigned to minor league camp.

Josh Fields has officially been released after being designated for assignment on Thursday.

Urías has a solid outing

Left-handed pitcher Julio Urías tossed three scoreless innings, earning two strikeouts in the Dodgers victory against the Rockies on Sunday.

Urías was hitting the mid-90 mph range in his outing, clocking in as high as 97 mph. Check this out:

Here’s what Russell Martin had to say after catching Urías this afternoon:
