After the Dodgers made a great outing in the four-game set against the Brewers, Cody Bellinger’s performance is the one that shined the brightest.
Bellinger is one of the best hitters in baseball - in the same conversation as guys like Mike Trout and Christian Yelich - and he didn’t slack off in Milwaukee. His most impactful game came on Sunday afternoon, when he stole a home run from Yelich in the 8th and came right back to hit one for himself.
Though he essentially won Sunday’s game for Los Angeles, he was consistently providing the Dodgers with a great performance. In 15 at-bats, he led the team in hits, RBIs and stolen bases.
3 R | 6 H | 2 HR | 5 RBI | 1 SB | 0.400 AVG | .444 OBP | .800 SLG | 1.244 OPS |
Joc Pederson’s performance comes up quite close. Pederson and Bellinger had the same amount of home runs and runs scored, but Bellinger’s stolen homer gave him the edge.
We’ll find out if Bellinger can make his “hot start” into a “hot month” in the upcoming series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
