With AJ Pollock headed to the injured list, a spot opened up on the Dodgers roster. On Tuesday afternoon, LA announced they were recalling infielder Matt Beaty from triple-A.
The Dodgers today recalled infielder Matt Beaty from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed outfielder A.J. Pollock on the 10-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.

Beaty, 26, was drafted by the Dodgers in the 12th round of the 2015 MLB draft. In 22 games this season, Beaty is hitting .277 with an OPS of .789 with Oklahoma City. He has two home runs and 10 RBI. Over the course of 364 minor league games, he’s hitting .307 with an .810 OPS.
It’s been a rough start to the season for Pollock. In 28 games with LA, he’s hitting .223 with an OPS of only .617. Not only has his production been low, but he’s been hurting the team during his time on the field, as he has a WAR of -0.7.
