Our first podcast of the season recounts the sublime offense put up by the Dodgers in their opening weekend, with 42 runs and 14 home runs, including an MLB-record eight long balls on opening day.
There was a six-hour game, position players pitching, and even a comeback win all packed into four days.
We took a few questions, and among the items discussed was this Freeway Series broadcast use of third base coach Dino Ebel in game. We are both very much in favor of adding things like this to game telecasts whenever possible.
If you love baseball, listen to Dino Ebel mic’d up. And if you don’t like baseball, you will after this. pic.twitter.com/Q5iqNXwtkN

Also, this is the legendary Earl Weaver rant with umpire Bill Haller. “You’re here for one goddamn specific reason: to f**k us!”
Note: This was recorded Monday, before the series against San Francisco.

This week’s rather brief Dodgers rewind is Chris Donnels, who in 2001 was the first position player for the team in 12 years.
