The Oklahoma City Dodgers were the only affiliate to lose on Saturday, with Tulsa and Rancho Cucamonga each winning with home runs aplenty.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers dropped the series opener to the Round Rock Express (Astros) on Saturday. Like the major league Dodgers, the Triple-A Dodgers got off to an early 2-0 lead and would eventually lose hold of it.

Matt Beaty and Errol Robinson each hit a solo home run to get the Dodgers on the board, hitting their third and first homers of the season, respectively.

Nick Tanielu was the largest force for the Express, driving in all three runs scored. The first two runs the Express scored were charged to left-handed pitcher Ben Holmes and the winning run was scored on righty Justin Grimm. Grimm was also charged with the loss, dropping to 0-3 on the season.

Double-A Tulsa

The Tulsa Drillers’ defeat of the Arkansas Travelers included a grand slam by Cody Thomas.

A majority of the runs came in the first inning, ending with a score of 5-2 in favor of Tulsa. The Drillers’ top half of the inning featured Thomas’ grand slam, after Angelo Mora drove in an RBI base hit. The Travelers also scored a couple of times this inning, driving in their only runs of the game off of Yordy Cabrera.

Angelo Mora also drove in the final two runs for Tulsa with another base hit in the second inning.

Right-handed pitcher Nolan Long was credited with the win, improving his record to 2-0.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes made the comeback of the Visalia Rawhide to split the series, 1-1.

Josiah Gray struggled early on, allowing the Rawhide to score three runs before he was replaced in the first inning with two outs.

The Quakes quickly responded to the three-run inning by scoring a pair in the bottom half to make the score 3-2. These two runs were driven in by Jeter Downs with a homer - his fifth of the season. Donovan Casey’s home run in the third inning brought the game to a tie before Jordan Procyshen drove in run No. 4 with an RBI base hit.

Starling Heredia added to the home runs of the night, adding yet another run to the Quakes’ lead for good measure.

Victor Gonzalez, who threw 4 23 scoreless innings for the Quakes, was credited for the win (2-1).

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons will continue play on Monday against the Dayton Dragons (Reds).
