Dodgers news...

True Blue LA’s Craig Minami provided full coverage of Sunday’s game, straight from Dodger Stadium. You can read the game recap here.

The comparison of Hyun-Jin Ryu to Greg Maddux hasn’t showed signs of slowing down. ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez talks more about this.

Corey Seager smashed a grand slam in the series finale to support Ryu’s brilliant outing.

Around the league...

Major League Baseball celebrated Mother’s Day by bringing out pink-themed equipment and gear.

The San Diego Padres changed their Twitter handle from @Padres to @Madres on Mother’s Day. It was claimed by a fan, but in the end, the Padres were able to revert back to their Twitter handle.

Reds outfielder Yasiel Puig hit a home run off of San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner. These two have some history with each other and there was some shade thrown after the game.

It was the major league debut for Phillies left-handed pitcher Cole Irvin on Mother’s Day and his mom was in the stands cheering him on. Irvin got the win.

Batters in Triple-A have been happy to make the change to using major league regulated baseballs. Or, at least that’s what the numbers say.

“Through games Saturday, season-to-date home runs in Triple-A were up 65% over a comparable period in 2018 (1,359 homers vs. 825), according to figures MLB provided to The Associated Press.” _—Eric Olson,
