The Quakes had their double-header rained out on Thursday, while the Drillers were the only team to pick up a victory.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Baby Cakes offense was too much for the Dodgers to handle, as they fell 12-4. New Orleans jumped ahead early, scoring four runs in the first two innings. OKC was able to cut it their deficit to three in the fourth, but New Orleans’ offense was too much, as they scored eight more runs over the next four innings.

On the night, the Dodgers had seven hits, with three of them coming at the hands of catcher, Will Smith. He’s now hitting .291 on the season with an OPS of .964.

It was another rough start for Dennis Santana, who moves to 0-3 on the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, as his ERA on the season now sits above six.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers used a four-run fourth inning to defeat the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, 8-3. With the bases loaded and one out in the fourth, Zach McKinstry doubled in two, giving Tulsa the 5-1 lead. Angelo Mora followed with a single, bringing in two more to push Tulsa’s lead to six.

The Drillers had 13 hits on the night, with four of them coming from Gavin Lux. He also scored three runs. Lux continues his stellar play with Tulsa, as his average now is at .329.

J.D. Martin was able to give Tulsa seven solid innings. He allowed only one run on four hits, while striking out five as he picked up his second win of the season.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

Their double-header was rained out.

Class-A Great Lakes

Seven runs in the first two innings were enough for Lansing, as they defeated the Loons 9-4. Great Lakes jumped ahead to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but wouldn’t score their next run until the eighth.

Robinson Ortiz would be pulled after only two innings. He allowed seven runs and six hits in his brief start. Stephen Kolek came in for relief, and allowed only one run in six innings.
