This week on the podcast we take a closer look at the Dodgers bullpen woes, especially their poor showing in tight situations.
But despite the relief struggles the Dodgers have been chugging along, thanks to a very strong starting rotation and a high-octane offense. Cody Bellinger continues to hum along, even if he has now dipped below .400 (the horror!), and has been joined at the top of the production heap by a red-hot Justin Turner, whose May has assuaged earlier concerns about his slow start.
We also discuss the arrival of Will Smith, which at the time of recording was not yet official. From the department of corrections, I mentioned during the podcast that the Dodgers would need a corresponding move to make room on the 40-man roster for Smith, but that was not the case. They had an open spot, now filled by Smith.

Dodgers rewind
With the Dodgers 12 for 12 in stolen bases so far in May (through Sunday, at least), this week’s rewind is of Jamey Carroll, who stole 10 bases without getting caught in 2011.
