In a rematch of the 2018 NLDS, the Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 5-3 on Monday night at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers got things going early on in the first, as Cody Bellinger managed to bunt himself into scoring position. Justin Turner, who had yet another multi-hit game, singled to put runners at the corners with one out. Corey Seager stepped up to the plate, and grounded out to bring in Bellinger, giving LA a 1-0 lead.

Another run would be tacked on by LA in the second, as a wild pitch would score Alex Verdugo, giving the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.

One of the hottest hitters stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third. After an amazing weekend in San Diego, Chris Taylor continued his hot streak by singling in a run. Verudgo followed with a sacrifice fly, giving LA the 4-0 lead.

Meanwhile, on the pitching side of things, Walker Buehler was dominant. On the night he went seven innings, a season-high, while striking out eight and allowing only three runs. He really had things going early on, as he had five strikeouts through the first two innings. Buehler recorded his eight strikeouts through the first four innings, which was a season-high for him.

Taylor tacked on another run in the fifth, doubling to right field to score Seager. In the last week, Taylor has raised his batting average nearly 70 points, bringing it from .162 to .231.

With Kenley Jansen unavailable to pitch after three consecutive appearances, Julio Urias was called upon to get the save. He faced the heart of the lineup, retiring the side in order with a strikeout to earn his first career save.
