After being placed on the injured list last week with an oblique injury, it looks as if Caleb Ferguson is inching closer towards returning to the Dodgers.
On Tuesday, he threw a successful simulated game. He faced Joc Pederson, and newly-signed Dodger Travis d’Arnaud.
Dave Roberts said Caleb Ferguson will go on a rehab assignment in a few days after his sim game today. Ferguson said he threw 15-20 pitches. No pain.

On the season, Ferguson is 0-1 with an ERA of 3.46. He was great in his first seven outings, as he didn’t allow a run and struck out eight. Over his last six outings though, he began to struggle. He allowed five runs, and walked seven over the course of 6 2⁄3 innings.
