Will Smith continues to impress down in Oklahoma City, showing the major league Dodgers he is a very qualified candidate if he is needed.
The Quakes and Loons are on their All-Star Break while the Arizona League started action on Monday.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Dodgers overcame a 2-0 deficit to defeat the El Paso Chihuahuas, 3-2.
Mitchell White allowed both runs the Chihuahuas scored in the second inning. Other than this blemish, White was otherwise spotless, allowing a total of five hits and no walks. He struck out six batters as well.
The Chihuahuas held on to this lead until the seventh inning. Third baseman Connor Joe drove in a pair of runs with a two-out double to tie things up. The Dodgers sealed the deal in the eighth when Will Smith hit a solo home run to give them a 3-2 lead. Smith has now hit a home run in five-straight games.
The Dodgers bullpen was solid, tossing four scoreless innings and combining for just three hits and no walks. Josh Sborz got the win for his two inning contribution.

Tulsa’s comeback featured a home run by Keibert Ruiz and Cody Thomas, as well as a two-out RBI by DJ Peters. The Drillers added to their lead in the eighth inning, when Carlos Rincon and Gavin Lux each hit snatched RBI singles.
