Dodgers news ...

The Dodgers defeated the Giants on Tuesday evening behind another stellar Kershaw start. You can read the TBLA game recap here.

Howard Cole writes about the relievers who could very well end up in a Dodgers uniform soon.

The Dodgers are going to trade for a reliever, and possibly two. Three would be better, but they need two, to go along with the mostly-effective trio of Kenley Jansen, Pedro Baez and Julio Urias (none of whom were Friedman’s doing, remember).

From the Dodgers Insider magazine, here’s a story about Justin Turner and his relationship with Cal State Fullerton (a school I used to attend!)

Growing up in Southern California, Dodger fandom was understandable for Turner and his family. But as a kid, it was Cal State Fullerton games, just 15 miles from his hometown of Bellflower, that fueled his attraction to the game. And what better way to stay as close to the team as possible than by serving as its batboy?

Around the league ...

Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer broke his nose on Tuesday during a bunting drill. Here’s SB Nation’s Nationals blog, Federal Baseball, with the story.

Yankees’ Aaron Judge will return to the team on Friday after being out for nearly two months with an oblique injury.

The Red Sox and Twins went to 17 innings yesterday until the Twins got the walk-off win.

The Chicago White Sox will be the first MLB team to extend their netting to the foul pole. These changes will happen later this summer.
