Leo Crawford pitches a beauty over the Storm, Quakes win 9th straight

Crawford tosses a three-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts

A reduced schedule was played by the Dodger minor league affiliates on Tuesday. Only Tulsa, Rancho Cucamonga and the Dominican Summer League teams played.

The rest of the teams either had an off-day or in Oklahoma City’s case, was on their All-Star break.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers continue to be on their All-Star break, they will begin play again on Thursday at Memphis.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers were tied going to the eighth inning but then the Cardinals scored one in the eighth and then four in the ninth to lose 7-2 on Tuesday. Despite taking the loss, Parker Curry pitched well for the Drillers.

Curry went 6⅓ innings and he gave up a run and two hits. Curry struck out three with no walks.

Cristian Santana hit his ninth home run to tie the game in the seventh. Keibert Ruiz also went 1-for-4.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes won their ninth straight game and this one was behind the arm of Leo Crawford. Crawford pitched a complete game shutout to beat the Storm (Padres) 5-0 at Lake Elsinore.

Crawford threw a season-high 104 pitches in his nine innings of work. He gave up three hits and struck out 10. In his last two starts, Crawford has pitched 14⅔ scoreless innings with 18 strikeouts and no walks.

A.J. Pollock homered in his one plate appearance before leaving the game. Pollock is expected to join Los Angeles at Boston on Friday.

Donovan Casey and Miguel Vargas each had two hits. Casey scored three runs with a double and a triple. Vargas had a double and drove in two runs.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons were off on Tuesday, they begin a series against the Kernels (Twins) later today.

Advanced Rookie Ogden

The Raptors also had the opportunity to watch the Major League All-Star Game last night. They will be at Idaho Falls playing the Chukars (Royals) tonight.

  • Tulsa placed left-handed pitcher Edward Paredes on the 7-day injured list
