Crawford strikes out eight in Quakes loss

Quakes lose 6-0 despite fine performance from Leo Crawford

The Dodgers did have a good day at the minor league ballparks on Sunday with wins for Tulsa, Great Lakes and Ogden.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers were off on Sunday, they will begin a series today against the Cubs at Principal Park in Des Moines.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers scored early and went on to beat the Naturals (Royals) 9-2 on Sunday. Their 17-hit attack included three-hit games for Drew Avans and Cristian Santana.

Cody Thomas, Errol Robinson, Jared Walker and Logan Landon each have two hits.

Jordan Sheffield “started” and pitched the first inning where he gave up a run. Parker Curry got the win for his five inning one-run performance.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes lost to the Ports (Athletics) 6-0 despite a solid game pitched by Leo Crawford. Crawford gave up two runs and seven hits in five innings pitched. He also struck out eight while walking one.

However, the bats were silent for the Quakes. They were held to three hits, including a double by Devin Mann, and one walk. The Quakes did go 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons were able to hold on and beat the Chiefs (Cardinals) 9-8 on Sunday. The Loons pounded out four home runs and got a enough relief pitching to win their 55th game of the season.

Luke Heyer, Hunter Feduccia, James Outman and Leonel Valera were the home run hitters for the Loons. Valera went 3-for-3

Justin Hagenman picked up his second save of the season despite giving up a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Advanced Rookie Ogden

The Raptors beat the Osprey (Diamondbacks) 17 - 11 after getting out to a big lead. The Raptors had 16 hits including three home runs.

Joe Vranesh, Justin Yurchak and Sam McWilliams were the home run hitters. Vranesh had four hits in the game. McWilliams and Brandon Lewis each had three hits.

2019 draft pick Mark Mixon got his first professional win in his career.

Ogden’s win lowers their magic number to four to clinch a first half division title and a playoff spot.
