Chris Taylor will receive a second round of X-rays after being hit on the wrist during Sunday night’s game in Boston. This will help determine if a trip to the injured list is necessary.

We will update with more information as we learn it.

UPDATE: Chris Taylor’s X-rays revealed he has a fractured left forearm.

As a result, the Los Angeles Dodgers placed Taylor on the 10-day injured list and recalled Matt Beaty from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Beaty is slashing .278/.297/.407 in 37 games with the major league Dodgers this season.

The Dodgers also designated left hander Zac Rosscup for assignment after appearing in just seven games with LA. Rosscup pitched a total of three innings, allowing a total of three runs (two earned), six hits and three walks. He struck out four batters.

The team made this move to make room for right-handed pitcher Casey Sadler, whom they recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.

Sadler joined the Dodgers on July 3 via a trade. Since then, he pitched in two games with the Oklahoma City Dodgers for a combined six innings pitched, eight hits, four runs (all earned) and one homer. The 29-year-old struck out nine batters as well.
