Rancho Cucamonga, Great Lakes and Ogden won while Oklahoma City and Tulsa lost on Friday.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
The Dodgers lost 13-10 to the Redbirds (Cardinals) at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Friday. A seven-run fifth inning by the Redbirds put them in front for good.
Mitchell White allowed the first six batters in the fifth inning to get on base and they all scored. White would pitch four innings and he was responsible for 11 runs. He also gave up 12 hits and walked three.
The Dodgers had nine hits including home runs from Zach Reks, DJ Peters and Shane Peterson. Reks went 2-for-3 with four RBI. Gavin Lux also had two hits.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers fell 5-1 to the RoughRiders (Rangers) as they only had five singles and went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position.
Parker Curry gave up all five runs to the RoughRiders. He pitched 5⅓ innings and along with the runs, he also allowed eight hits.
Zach McKinstry had two hits, Cristian Santana drove in his 58th run of the season.
Class-A Rancho Cucamonga
The Quakes shutout the Ports (Athletics) 7-0 at LoanMart Field at Rancho Cucamonga. Michael Grove started and pitched three innings and struck out five.
The Quakes scored their first run when Steve Berman doubled home Marcus Chiu in the fourth inning. Jeren Kendall three-run homer in the seventh was part of a four-run inning.
Hunter Feduccia had two hits and scored a run.
Melvin Jiminez finished the game by striking out the side.
Class-A Great Lakes
The Loons broke a scoreless game by scoring their one run in the tenth inning. That one run was enough as they beat the Dragons (Reds) 1-0 at Dayton on Friday.
Kody Hoese drove in the one run with a sacrifice fly. The Loons had seven hits and went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position.
Stephen Kolek started and pitched 6⅔ innings. He gave up four hits and walked three. Kolek struck out five. Aaron Ochsenbein got the win, he pitched 2⅓ innings.
Justin Bruihl got his second save for the Loons.
Advanced Rookie Ogden
The Raptors beat the Owlz (Angels) 9-5 on Friday. The Raptors had 13 hits including home runs from Zac Ching and Brandon Lewis.
Lewis and Andrew Shaps each had three hits. Ryan Ward went 2-for-5.
Jeff Belge got his first win with three strikeouts in 1⅓ innings.
