In his first game with the Quakes, Miguel Vargas delivered the walk-off hit in the ninth.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

An early four-run deficit was too much for the Dodgers to overcome, as they fell to the Sounds, 6-4. Nashville got things started early, as they jumped out to a 5-1 lead through three innings.

OKC cut the lead in half in the fifth, as Connor Joe hit a two-run shot, his eighth of the year, bringing his team to within two runs. Over the course of the remainder of the game, the offense went cold, totaling only two hits, as the Dodgers fell.

Dennis Santana moved to 2-6 on the season, as he allowed five runs in his five innings of work. On the season, his ERA sits at 6.41.

Double-A Tulsa

The Cardinals defeated the Drillers 9-3. All nine of Springfield’s runs came in the fourth inning. Up 1-0 entering the bottom of the fourth, the Cardinals used eight hits, a walk and an error to put a nine-spot up in the inning.

Single-A Rancho Cucamonga

Having just been called up, Miguel Vargas was the hero for the Quakes. Trailing one run in the final inning, Vargas stepped up to the plate with two on and one out. He doubled to left, bringing in both runs to score, giving the Quakes the 2-1 victory.

On the night, Vargas was 2-for-4. He was one of the best hitters with Great Lakes this year, as he hit .325 and drove in 45 runs with the Loons.

Josiah Gray had yet another great start, allowing no runs in 6 23 innings of work. He allowed only four hits while striking out seven.

High-A Great Lakes

The Lugnuts scored two runs in the ninth as they defeated the Loons 4-3. Great Lakes had a 3-0 lead in the seventh, but Lansing scored a run in the final three innings to get the victory.
