Jared Walker homers twice in Tulsa win

Tulsa was a winner on Monday but Great Lakes and Ogden lost. Oklahoma City and Rancho Cucamonga were recipients of an off-day on Monday.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The Dodgers were off on Monday, they will begin a series against the Bees (Angels) at Salt Lake today.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers got a scoreless start from Josiah Gray and three home runs to beat the RockHounds (Athletics) 8-2 at Midland. Gray won his first game for Tulsa by going five innings and giving up no runs and four hits.

Gray also struck out four and now in three starts in the Texas League, he has struck out 13 in 17⅓ innings pitched. This was also the third different Dodger affiliate where Gray has won at least one game for this season.

Josiah Gray hit two solo home runs as he went 3-for-4 with four RBI. Logan Landon also homered. Cristian Santana and Zach McKinstry each had two hits.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes had Monday off, tonight they make the drive over to Lancaster to play the JetHawks (Rockies).

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons fell behind early and went down to defeat in their 8-1 loss to the Whitecaps (Tigers) on Monday. The loss ended a seven-game winning streak.

Robinson Ortiz started and took the loss for the Loons. He pitched 2⅔ innings and gave up five runs and six hits. He also walked four and had two strikeouts.

Meanwhile, the Loons had only seven singles and received five walks to account for their offense. They went 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position.

Advanced Rookie Ogden

The Raptors lost 4-1 to the Rockies and that loss ended a six-game winning streak. Kevin Malisheski gave up all four runs in his five-inning start.

Malisheski did strike out seven and how he has 53 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched at Ogden. Those 53 strikeouts lead the Pioneer League.

Brandon Lewis had two hits and one RBI, he is now hitting .333/.383/.653 in 18 games played at Ogden.
