The trade deadline is less than FOUR HOURS away, so it’s an appropriate time to check in on how those Dodgers fans are holding up. The fan confidence declined below the 80 percent mark, landing at 78% this week. Although this is generally a higher fan confidence among the rest of the teams, Dodgers fans have only been less confident once this season (Opening Day).
This week there is an easy tell as to why the ratings are so low. The poll went out right when the Dodgers suffered ugly back-to-back losses. LA lost to the Nationals 11-4 on Sunday and followed with a less satisfying 9-1 loss to the Rockies.
Another factor that could be contributing to the declined fan confidence is the trade deadline. There are tons of conversations on Twitter happening about this Dodgers front office making moves by the July 31 deadline, some positive and some negative. Of course, they have made moves (like Bill Plunkett pointed out on Twitter), but there is no World Series championship to show for it, so I can understand where the skepticism comes from.

As for this week’s national question, we asked fans from all over the nation who they want their team to acquire by today. It was a landslide vote for a pitcher over a hitter, showing the high demand for arms.
Dodgers fans hope they can get a pitcher of their own to bolster their bullpen, whether it be Felipe Vásquez or Shane Greene.
