It’s been said plenty of times already, but it’s true. Will Smith is the future of the Dodgers. The young stud is the player of the series for the second time in a row.
Smith may have only gone 2-for-7 in two games against the Rockies, but his two hits were invaluable to the Dodgers performance. His first hit came in game one when the Dodgers lost 9-1 and he put himself into position to score the only run that night. Hit No. 2 came in the series finale. He smacked a clutch 3-run home run that was the difference maker in the game.
And it’s not the first time he delivers in the clutch.
Will Smith of the @Dodgers is the first player in the modern era to have 3 of his first 5 career home runs be go-ahead homers in the 9th inning.#LABleedsBlue

Of course, I couldn’t leave out the other Dodgers newbie, Kristopher Negrón. The recently added utility player hit two home runs in each of the Dodgers wins in this series. He was 3-for-8 in two games with a walk and three strikeouts.
These new players are really something.
