Dodgers Minor League Recap: Sunday, Aug. 25

The only Dodgers minor league affiliates to play on Sunday were the full-season teams. The OKC Dodgers and Loons suffered loses while the Drillers and Quakes pulled off wins.

Triple-A Oklahoma City

The San Antonio Missions shutout the Dodgers 4-0 on the way to a 3-game series sweep.

The Dodgers were only able to get three hits on the night. Connor Joe, Zach McKinstry and Ben Moore each got a hit.

J.D. Martin earned the loss after his start against the Missions. He pitched five innings and allowed five hits, two walks and three runs. These three runs were all scored on a home run. JT Chargois allowed the Missions to score their last run of the night by giving up a home run of his own.

Double-A Tulsa

The Drillers earned a win over the Hooks behind a solid start by Josiah Gray.

Gray only allowed one run to score from five innings of work. The No. 5 prospect struck out nine batters to match a career high. The Hooks only managed to get four hits and two walks against Gray. It was his third win with the Drillers since joining them on July 17.

Connor Wong led the team with three hits. Jeter Downs closely followed with two hits of his own, but he drew two walks, scored two runs and earned one RBI.

Class-A Rancho Cucamonga

The Quakes cruised to a 8-2 win over the Inland Empire 66ers on Sunday night.

Six straight Quakes reached base in the sixth inning to score six runs. This included a 3-run homer by Jeren Kendall and a two RBI base hit by Brayan Morales.

Starting pitcher John Rooney held the 66ers to four hits, three walks and two runs in five innings pitched. He earned his fifth win with the Quakes after making 8 starts.

Class-A Great Lakes

The Loons outhit the Lugnuts on Sunday but fell 3-2.

Ryan Pepiot was the starting pitcher and threw 2 23 innings. He only allowed one hit and let one run score. Zach Willeman earned the loss for his 4 23 appearance in the game where he let Lansing score two runs (one earned) on three hits no walks.

Brandon Lewis hit an RBI double to get the Loons one of their runs. Overall, the team went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position and stranded 13 runners on base.

Advanced Rookie Ogden

The Raptors had a day off on Sunday and will open up a series with the Rocky Mountain Vibes on Monday.
