The Dodgers will try to make their 11th sweep of the season in an early afternoon game against the Cardinals. The game will be live streamed on YouTube for free!

No other team in baseball has a better day game record than the Los Angeles Dodgers. The only team that comes close to their 22-8 record is the Houston Astros, who have a 19-9 record in day games.

MLB teams with the best home records

Team Win Loss Win %
Team Win Loss Win %
Dodgers 22 8 0.733
Astros 19 9 0.678
Yankees 29 15 0.659
Phillies 24 14 0.631
Cubs 30 18 0.625
Indians 27 18 0.600
Twins 29 17 0.595

The Dodgers’ .733 win percentage in the afternoon is almost as impressive as their 45-15 record in home games. It’s the best of both worlds on Wednesday, since it is a day game at Dodger Stadium.

Dustin May takes the mound on Wednesday afternoon with all the odds in his favor. It will be the second outing of his young career, filling in as Ross Stripling takes time on the injured list. May will most likely get another start in the rotation before Stripling makes his return.

May faced the Padres in his major league debut, and gave everyone a preview of what he is capable of. The right hander throws a mid-to-upper 90s sinker ball that can do tons of damage to the strike zone.

In other news, A.J. Pollock is out of the lineup for the third day in a row with a groin strain. Dave Roberts said he expects Pollock to be back by Friday against the Diamondbacks, but we’ll keep you updated on what happens with that.
