Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Dodgers fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
The Dodgers are currently boast the best record in the major leagues and are the favorites to win the National League pennant. They had a chance to do big things at the trade deadline to bolster their struggling bullpen, but ultimately, they only made a few small trades. If only there was a way to see how Dodgers fans feel about this ...
Wait, there is a way.
We sent out a poll a couple days ago asking the fans how they thought the front office did at this year’s trade deadline. To the surprise of none, fans are nearly split over the decision to stick to their current team and farm system. The results lean in favor of the ‘no’ side, but there is a substantial part of the fanbase that supports the front office.

In the past 2 1⁄2 years the Dodgers have been World Series contenders, Dodgers fans have been split over whether to trade prospects or keep them for future success. This year’s trade deadline showed where the Dodgers stand in this conversation.
As for other teams in the National League West division, the D-Backs and Giants fans were both pleased with their trade deadline while the Rockies and Padres were not. The Diamondbacks most notably traded away Zack Greinke for prospects and the Giants kept their veteran pitcher, Madison Bumgarner. Now, these moves don’t necessarily affect their chances of winning the NL West, because the Dodgers have that in the bag. It does, however, affect their chances of making the Wild Card, since both teams are currently in that conversation.
Back to Zack Greinke for a minute. As I wrote yesterday, the Astros’ chances at winning the World Series were more favorable after the trade deadline last week. Baseball fans from around the country seem to think the same. In fact, 82 percent of surveyed fans find the Astros as the largest threat now, with only 6 percent voting in favor of the Dodgers.
