Advanced Rookie Ogden
The Raptors got a two-out walk-off single to beat the Rockies 6-5 in ten innings on Monday. The win gave the Raptors a 2-0 sweep of their playoff series. They will advance to the Pioneer League Championship series that begins later this week.
The bottom of the tenth started when Jorbit Vivas was hit-by-a-pitch with one out. Marco Hernandez singled Vivas to third. After a strikeout, an error on the ball hit by Ramon Rodriguez allowed Vivas to score and give the game and the series to the Raptors.
Andy Pages had hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth to give the Raptors a one-run lead. Then in the eighth inning, after the Rockies had tied the score, Sauryn Lao hit a solo home run to put the Raptors back in front.
The Rockies would come back to tie the game again in the top of the ninth setting up the final rally by the Raptors in the tenth inning.
