The beginning of a short week ~

MLB: Colorado Rockies at Los Angeles Dodgers Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Dodgers news ...

Gavin Lux made his major league debut and it was definitely one for the books. The whole game was just an offensive showdown. You can read the TBLA game recap here.

Julio Urías was reinstated from his suspension. He is returning as the fifth starter, bumping Kenta Maeda into the bullpen.

Cody Bellinger took the major league lead in home runs last night with HR No. 44!

If you missed this funny moment ... there was a fan in right field pavilion who almost caught Chris Taylor’s home run ball. It was coming right at him, and it fell out of his glove. Womp womp. He did eventually end up with the ball, though.

Around the league ...

Astros starting pitcher Gerrit Cole dealt 14 strikeouts in SIX INNINGS on Monday. That means only four of 18 outs were not Ks. Wow.

Our friends at Beyond the Box Score looked into who could possibly win the MLB awards, and a few Dodgers did make it into consideration.

Until yesterday, the Yankees haven’t been shutout for 220 consecutive games. How wild is that?
