Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse, a survey of fans across MLB. Each week, we send 30 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Dodgers fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.
The downward trend continues. After the way the Dodgers played a few weeks ago, many fans are worried the team’s flaws are starting to come out. And they’re not wrong.
On Aug. 28, the Dodgers boasted the best record in the majors and brought their magic number down to single digits. Since that day, the Dodgers no longer have the best record in of all baseball (they do lead the National League) and they still have not clinched the division.
The Dodgers were able to lower their magic number this week with a handful of wins against the Rockies (and one against the D-Backs), but the Diamondbacks decided they wanted to win a bunch of games too. So still no division clinch. Strange ... a team is resisting getting eliminated.

As you can see, the Dodgers fan confidence is working its way down, dropping all the way to 60% this week. Yes ... Dodgers fans are very elastic. Meaning they are very sensitive to the team’s performance. If the team is working through some kinks, it’s noticed. However, at the same time, when the team is connecting on all cylinders, fans notice that, too. Remember, they have the ability to reach 98% confidence (week three).
To put faces to these numbers, we asked our followers on Twitter to show us how they felt about the team’s recent performance. Here are the gifs they used to express their feelings.

Despite the fans not as confident in the team, they are quite confident in the skipper. More than 80% of fans approve of the job he does, which really says something. Although they aren’t thrilled with the way the team is playing, they trust Dave Roberts’ coaching, which shows they do still have hope.
Now for the national question this week. We asked fans from all over the nation if they think baseball brawls are okay. The results were nearly split down the middle, but leans more towards the “yes” side.
