The Dodgers try to close out the Brewers in Game 2 of their wild card series on Thursday night at Dodger Stadium.

Clayton Kershaw starts for the Dodgers, facing off against Brandon Woodruff for Milwaukee, the third postseason matchup between the two pitchers. Sort of.

Kershaw started and lost Game 1 of the 2018 NLDS, then started and won Game 5. Woodruff pitched only two innings in relief in the first game, but earned the win. He pitched in relief again, though in name only. Wade Miley started Game 5 for the Brewers and only faced one batter, then Woodruff took the loss, allowing three runs in 5⅓ innings.

Both had one more relief outing in the series, including Kershaw closing out Game 7 on the road.
