It was a busy season for the right-hander Josh Sborz, as he made more back-and-forth trips from Dodger Stadium to the alternate site than games he appeared in.
Sborz appeared in four games for the Dodgers this season, owning a 2.08 ERA in 4 1⁄3 innings. All four of his outings were low-leverage situations, as he entered the game with the score out of hand.
Remember how I mentioned he was going back and forth between the team and the alternate site? Check out his transaction chart from the season.
Stats: 4 games, 2.08 ERA, 4 1⁄3 IP, 2 SO, 1 BB, 0.69 WHIP, 220 ERA+
Game of the year
In his first outing of the year for LA, Sborz threw a 1-2-3 ninth inning to close out the victory for the Dodgers. He struck out one, and quickly got through the inning, needing only seven pitches to do it.
Sborz is still currently on the 40-man roster for the Dodgers. He has 113 days of service time. He’ll likely begin the 2021 season in AAA with Oklahoma City.
