Game threads: Opening Day edition

Two games to choose from!

Today would have been Opening Day across major-league baseball. The Dodgers would have been beginning their 2020 campaign against the San Francisco Giants, and a new season would be underway.

Clayton Kershaw was tabbed to make his ninth career Opening Day start.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait a little longer for baseball to come back. Luckily, we still have some sort of baseball to watch today.

The MLB is being very generous, and replaying former games across all different platforms. Luckily for Dodgers fans, they get a strong dose of it.

At 1 p.m. on the MLB Network, you can watch the 2013 Dodgers vs. Giants Opening Day. In case you need a little memory refresher, it was the game Kershaw threw a complete-game shutout.... and hit a home run.

If you don’t get the MLB Network, you can head on over to Dodgers.com, the Dodgers Twitter or Youtube account and re-watch last years Opening Day against the D-Backs, where the Dodgers hit eight home runs. You can also watch the game on SportsNet LA.

This will serve as an open game thread for those that are watching either game, or even both! I know it’s a drag that there isn’t real baseball today, but at least we get something that will bring back some great memories.

Play ball!
