The Dodgers have a number of national telecasts in 2020, 11 in all between Fox Sports and ESPN, a figure that’s likely to grow as the season progresses.

The first such game is a Sunday Night Baseball telecast on April 5 in San Francisco against the Giants. ESPN’s slate of national games has been revealed through two thirds of the season, while Fox Sports unveiled nearly their full 2020 schedule Thursday, with a few more games announced later in the season.

A general rule to follow for these games is that Saturday Fox games and Sunday night ESPN games are exclusive telecasts, meaning no local coverage on SportsNet LA. FS1 games are not exclusive (meaning there will also be a SportsNet LA telecast), but also not blacked out, so in those instances folks with SportsNet LA have the option to watch two broadcasts.

A caveat to that rule is the Thursday, July 16 game against the Giants at Dodger Stadium. It’s the first game back after the All-Star Game, which is in Los Angeles, and as the only MLB game on the schedule that night will get the Sunday Night Baseball treatment, and a broadcast exclusively on ESPN.

The Dodgers’ opening day game against the Giants will be televised nationally by ESPN, but it’s not an exclusive telecast, meaning the game will be available on both SportsNet LA and ESPN.
