Vin Scully is back home, released from the hospital this weekend after taking a fall earlier in the week, the Dodgers announced Sunday evening.

Scully fell at his home Tuesday, and released a statement through the team on Thursday saying he was resting comfortably.

“My sincerest thanks to the LA County Firemen and women who come to the rescue and always seem to be there when we need and to the excellent administration, doctors and nurses of Los Robles Hospital,” Scully said Sunday through a team spokesperson. ”I am so eternally grateful for their help and selfless service. I’m home resting comfortably with my wife and we are both eagerly awaiting the Time for Dodger Baseball!”

Scully provided an audio update from home on Monday evening.

“A very pleasant good evening wherever you may be,” Scully said. “I know where I am now, after five days in the hospital, and I’m so grateful to be home.”
