Major League Baseball announced Tuesday there would be a 60-game schedule for the 2020 season, the culmination of months of acrimonious and often public negotiations between major league players and owners.
As you might imagine, the players are excited to play again, with spring training reporting beginning on July 1, and an opening day of July 23 or July 24.

Hey listen I’m a purist at heart. There’s something romantic about the tradition of baseball and the fact that it’s generally stayed in the same box for so long but these are unprecedented times and it’s not permanent. I’m just stoked that we get to play! https://t.co/MDS2mvv7Tw
