What was originally planned as a quick Opening Day recap episode of the podcast suddenly had many more things to discuss. We talk about the suddenness of the Mookie Betts contract — one that takes him through the 2032 season, which seems like an eternity.
Then there was the back injury to Clayton Kershaw, which thrust Dustin May into an unexpected Opening Day start. Eventually we got to the game, which included Betts’ brilliance running the bases and a big night for Kiké Hernandez.

Special thanks to producer Brian Salvatore, who always brings the goods, but especially so in this case with the lightning-quick turnaround.
