David Price was arguably one of the biggest names in baseball to opt to sit out during the 2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic. On Monday morning, following the news of the outbreak among the Miami Marlins, Price was very vocal about MLB commissioner Rob Manfred and how he will handle this current situation.

Just over three weeks ago, Price announced that he will be sitting out the season due to the best interest of protecting his family. Now, it doesn’t seem like too bad of an idea for other players to strongly consider the same thing.

Earlier Monday morning, Dodgers president Stan Kasten spoke with MLB Network radio about what is currently transpiring across the league.

Hopefully this is the worst outbreak we have for the rest of the season because it will teach us some things. But I do think we expected something like this at some point. Maybe getting it out of the way early will help teach us things that will avoid repetitions of these things going forward.
