Justin Turner exited the game early on Friday with a potential hamstring injury. According to Dave Roberts, Turner is feeling better today, but he’s going to be held out of the lineup over the next few days for precautionary reasons. The club will re-evaluate him on Tuesday and go from there.
Roberts didn’t say whether or not we can see an IL stint.
Other news and notes
- Gavin Lux looks like he will have a consistent role with the team moving forward. “He’s put the work in at the site,” Roberts said. “He’s cleaned up his swing, taken a lot of at bats. He feels in sync. Now, we got him in there today, he’ll be in there tomorrow.”
Roberts said that the plan with Lux moving forward is to start him against right-handed pitchers.
- Edwin Rios is expected to be activated off the IL on either Tuesday or Wednesday
- Ross Stripling makes the start for LA today, and Roberts wants to see him be aggressive and attack the hitters. “This can be a dangerous team,” he said. “Ross has four different weapons. I want him to go as hard as he can for as long as he can.”
