Will the Dodgers make a move before tomorrow’s trade deadline? When asked about it, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts didn’t sound like it was likely to happen.

The trade deadline is very interesting this year, as I discussed in my article from earlier this morning. You’re trading for a player you could have for fewer games, and in the middle of a pandemic sure doesn’t make it any easier. Plus, the Dodgers don’t really need any additions to this team.

News and notes

  • Justin Turner is feeling better today. He’ll get more treatment tomorrow. According to Roberts, the best-case scenario is to see him DH on Tuesday.
  • There isn’t a return date yet for reliever Pedro Baez. He last pitched on August 19, but is currently on the Injured List with a right groin strain
  • Walker Buehler threw about 35 pitches during his bullpen session yesterday. His blister was uncovered. There still isn’t a date for when we can see him make his next start
