Scheduled for completion by 2028, the gondola will take seven minutes to go from Dodger Stadium to Union Station

Remember a while back when all those photos were released of a proposed gondola that would transport fans from Union Station to Dodger Stadium? Well, we have a few more of them now.

Per the website, LAArt.la, it will take seven minutes to go from Dodger Stadium to Union Station. LA ART offers the capacity to move approximately 5,500 people per hour per direction using a quiet, safe, environmentally friendly, and proven zero-emission technology. LA ART has the potential to connect El Pueblo, Union Station, Chinatown, Mission Junction, and Solano Canyon, while also providing access to the Los Angeles State Historic Park, the Los Angeles River, and Elysian Park.

“This is an important step in making this project a reality,” LA ART stated. “We know L.A. fans are eager to get back in the stadium to cheer on the Dodgers and hope that by moving forward with the environmental review process now there will be an exciting new way to rethink getting there.”

According to the website, the environmental review and approvals process is expected to be completed by 2022, allowing construction to start as early as 2025 and become operational before the 2028 Summer Olympics.
