Minor League Baseball Friday announced the league awards and All-Star teams for the three leagues that make up the Low-A classification.
The Dodgers were represented by two of the four Low-A West infielders, second baseman Sam McWilliams and third baseman Jorbit Vivas. Both players had been promoted to High-A Great Lakes by the end of the year but they each played over 80 games in Low-A with Rancho.
McWilliams turned in the best year in his short career in 2021, hitting .304/.384/.524/.908 with 14 homers and 70 RBI for the Quakes. The 23-year-old was drafted by the Dodgers in the 19th round of the 2018 draft.
With 38 multi-hit games this season, Vivas was one of the more consistent hitters as the year went on for the Quakes. Vivas had nine games of at least three hits, including a 6-for-6 effort in June that would see him blast a grand slam.
Vivas would finish his time with the Quakes at .311/.389/.515/.905 with 13 homers and 73 RBI. The 20-year-old kept hitting after his promotion, going 27-for-85 in 23 games for the High-A Loons.
Votes were cast by league broadcasters, Minor League Baseball executives and select members of the media.
