On Friday, the Dodgers trimmed their 40-man roster down to 37 players. With the offseason getting underway, we certainly can see a few more names being removed from the roster soon.

Scott Alexander, Andy Burns, and Jimmie Sherfy all cleared waivers and were sent outright to the minors. Since Alexander has over five years of major league service time, he has the right to refuse the outright assignment and can become a free agent if he chooses.

With the Dodgers clearing some space, it makes you wonder as to which names could be next. With the Rule 5 draft on the horizon and a number of incoming free agents, the Dodgers will need to make some room.

Here are some names currently on the roster who we could see trimmed at some point in the near future:

  • Joe Kelly (team-option)
  • Garrett Cleavinger
  • Billy McKinney
  • Andrew Vasquez
  • Luke Raley
  • Zach Reks

Out of the names mentioned above, how many do you think will remain on LA’s 40-man roster?
