A funny thing happened on the way to the sweep
With Mookie Betts and Cody Bellinger out of the lineup, the Dodgers offense struggled with runners in scoring position Wednesday but still led in the ninth inning with a chance to sweep the Athletics. But Kenley Jansen blew a save, and Jimmy Nelson allowed the winning run for Oakland in the 10th, snapping the Dodgers’ five-game winning streak.
